Climb aboard Vredenheim’s new game drive vehicle for an experience of our estate like no other, taking you on a guided tour through our game camp, the home of Eland, Zebra, Waterbuffalo, Fallow Dear, Sables and our National pride, the Springbok.
Your journey will take you into the heart of Vredenheim’s farming operations with a hour educational tour to learn more about our game and cattle farming and Big Cats Park sanctuary. An unmatched experience in the Stellenbosch winelands!
The tour is more or less an hour and half and includes a bottle of Vredenheim wine per couple, cheese and our South African traditional Droewors (dried meat) that can be enjoyed on the game drive or at home. Every child receives a sweets bag with a bottle of juice. The game drive is a guided tour and includes the Big cats and the Animal Farm.

It's was a lovely experience, our 3 year old son was fascinated and liked both, the cat feeding and the game drive. The kiddo bag was stuffed with sweet things, also to his liking. The game drive was a fun experience and the duration was just right. We were able to see plenty of animals such as zebras, elands, springbok. One remark: our drive took place with the game vehicle and not the tractor, which was fine for us, but our son was soo looking forward to the tractor ride, maybe it's best to mention it on the homepage that both could be used. Vredenheim is absolutely beautiful, and we really enjoyed our visit. The cat park was a highlight and a wonderful experience, and the service throughout was excellent. The game drive package, which included droe wors, cheese, water, and grape juice, was a nice touch and well presented. However, we were a bit disappointed with the actual game drive itself. The setting wasn't as appealing as we had hoped, as you are surrounded by husy roads and there wasn't much wildlife to see. That said, our guide was fantastic---very friendly and engaging---which made the experience more enjoyable overall. - Alessandra

We had a great time on the big cats walk seeing these beautiful animals during their feeding time. The game warden clearly had a passion for all of the various big cats that he looks after and he was knowledgeable and entertaining talking about them. The short game drive to see these beautiful animals other wildlife on the estate was good too. Highly recommend this and brilliant for children. - Bert
We had such a wonderful experience visiting Vredenheim Wildlife Drive and Cat Park. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely funny, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We learned so much, and everything was explained in a really engaging and easy-to-follow way. It was fascinating to see all the animals up close, each with their own unique personalities, and to hear the stories behind them. You can really tell how much care goes into looking after them. Our kids absolutely loved it---it kept them interested the whole time, which says a lot! It's such a special and memorable experience for the whole family.
